Lost Sons

I am lost too,

Like my biblical bro.

Whom long time ago,

Didn’t know where to go.

Searching in life

For the way that is right.

But where is the light

In its perpetual night?

Along the blank road

We continue to stride.

With no place to hide,

None to confide

Eventually, bro returned

Back to his dad.

He was proud he had,

Because father was glad.

But I’m still lost

By my choice.

Foolishly ignoring

My father’s voice.

Maybe one day

Before my fate.

I’ll take what’s learned,

Heed mother’s concern

To allow my return.

Just hope, I won’t be late.
